Body Contact Camp
The game of hockey is played at a high speed so it is important to learn the skill of body contact to ensure safety. Players will receive detailed instruction on proper positioning, angling to receive and to execute a body check. Players will be taught how to protect themselves and avoid the danger areas on the ice. Players will also learn proper stick check methods that are necessary at the highest levels of hockey. Forward and Defence Camp
Forward Players
Participants will work on all 3 positions, Left/Right Wings and Center. Skating will be the foundation of each session working on positional skating skills that can and will be used in game situations. Quick starts/stops, changing directions, crossing over to gain speed, lateral movements, puck control, puck protection, giving and receiving passes in motion, becoming a passing option, defensive, offensive and neutral zone play, how to become a scoring option, shooting in traffic, these are only a few of the many skills and concepts that will be taught. On ice instruction, will include instructors from the Chilliwack Chiefs coaching staff. Guaranteed 2 hours of ice time.
Defence Players
This camp will help defensive minded players work on techniques and drills to help expand their skill set. Skating will be a main area of focus, backward skating, backward quick starts, lateral movements. Defensemen will work on a variety of skills each day from; shooting technique and accuracy, strong first pass, net front play, D-zone coverage, angling, jumping into the play, Offensive zone play, how to become an offensive threat from the blue line, reading the ice, gap control and much more. These sessions will help defence work on and expand their knowledge of their position making them a more effective defenceman. On ice instruction, will include instructors from the Chilliwack Chiefs coaching staff. Guaranteed 2 hours of ice time.

Goaltending Camp
In the Goaltending Camp, goalies are taught to develop good work habits, improve reaction time, strength, flexibility, quickness, and agility. Instructors will teach players techniques to shut down breakaways, pass outs, and wraparounds, along with detailed instruction on rebound control, recovery skills, and playing the puck. This camp will focus on emphasizing the basic fundamental skills necessary to develop as a complete all-around goalie. Note: Full goalie gear is required. Hockey FUNdamentals
The Hockey FUNdamentals camp is designed for the beginner player who wants to improve their overall skills, as well as those who want to learn the team skills that are required to transition into a game situation. Learn to Skate Mini Camp – Half Day Camps
Prospera Centre Skating Academy incorporates the strongest elements from nationally recognized programs to provide a program that ensures skaters progress through the skills of skating safely and efficiently, while having lots of FUN! Not only will there be on ice instruction but all participants will also participate in off-ice activities such as games and arts and crafts. The clear structure and distinct levels of the Academy provide skaters with a clear path to success in the sport of skating, and will prepare them for a hockey or basic figure skating program. Nature Explorers Camp

Power Skating Camp
Hockey is the fastest game in the world. To be an elite player you have to be an elite skater. The fastest way from point A to point B is in a straight line. We will teach you the proper and the fastest way to your destination on the ice. We will focus on forward and backward skating, edge work, quick starts, tight turns, crossovers, lateral movement, and proper hand and stick placement and balance. This camp focuses on preparatory conditioning (including general strength, aerobic, and flexibility exercises) prior to the hockey season. Puck Control Camp
Learn how to develop quick hands with our puck control exercises. To become an elite player you need to learn how to handle the puck in tight areas and in motion. Players will learn how to control the puck on their forehand, backhand, in their feet, wide movements, tight movements, and multiple puck drills to force your feet and hands to work together.  On ice instruction will include instructors from the Chilliwack Chiefs coaching staff. Shooting, Scoring and Passing Camp
Learn how to execute the proper techniques of the wrist, snap, backhand and of course the all the time favourite slap shot. Learn to develop a quick release that will improve your chances to score.  The majority of all goals are scored in the net front area and we will emphasize goal scoring in these tight areas. We will work on deflections, driving the net and rebound situations. We will work on receiving passes in small areas and receiving passes in motion. Learn European concepts that all the NHL players are learning. On ice instruction, will include instructors from the Chilliwack Chiefs coaching staff. Guaranteed 2 hours of ice time.

Sport Sampler Camp
The Sports Sampler camp is a great opportunity for participants to try a variety of sports and games, while learning about key components of what it means to stay active & be healthy! Our experienced, enthusiastic instructors will create a schedule that incorporates the following: soccer, basketball, ultimate frisbee, and floor hockey. Each day, campers will focus on a different sport, learning sport specific skills and techniques. Campers will also participate in cooperative drills and games that aim to help enhance movement skills, teamwork, cooperation and sportsmanship. Participants will be separated into groups depending on numbers, age and skill level.

The Chilliwack Chiefs Rep Prep Camp
The Chilliwack Chiefs Hockey Camp is a 4 day, one hour evening camp designed to prepare Atom, Pee Wee, and Bantam Players for the upcoming season and players that will be attending rep try outs. Players will work on their skating and the hockey fundamentals which include: skating, passing, shooting, body and stick checks, and we won’t forget about  their conditioning. The Chilliwack Chiefs Coaching staff will run all the ice sessions including the team’s goaltender coach.

The Sports Basic Camp
Start active and stay active with this camp’s introduction to sport! Instructors in this camp focus on having fun while also teaching children fundamental motor and movement skills, which are the building blocks for future athletic success. Activities and cooperative games are designed to encourage active play and develop balance, coordination and strength. Movement skills, such as running, throwing, catching and kicking are highlighted, and your camper is invited to partake in group games and exercises that promote safe play.
