Managing Conflict for Couples is a Building Health Couples program based on the research of Dr. John Gottman at the University of Washington, Seattle. Lead by counsellor Mike Ayers and Masters level counselling students, this program teaches the skills used by the “masters of relationships” as well as how to avoid the deficits of the “disasters of relationships”. The program is educational, not therapy, but couples invariably attest benefits to their relationship when both partners think intentionally about how they can manage conflict and allow it to enhance their connection. The course runs on Friday night February 23 ( 7-9:30) and Saturday February 24 ( 9 to 4 ) at the NLC, Chilliwack Secondary.
