Chilliwack Hospice Society offers an after-school grief support group for children ages 4-13 impacted by the life-limiting illness or death of someone close. Children learn to understand thoughts and emotions pertaining to grief through conversation and expressive arts activities. The group meets for 1.5 hours a week for eight weeks.

Many children in our city have been affected by divorce and struggle through it without a safe place to process through the emotions surrounding it. DC4K is a thirteen week faith-based program designed to help children grades 1-6 work through the hurt and confusion of divorce.

The children’s counsellor provides a safe place for children to talk about their thoughts and feelings. Play Therapy can help to enhance self-esteem, strengthen family relationships, expand their vocabulary for emotions, and build on healthy coping skills which they can then use, to deal with various situations, for the rest of their lives.

Provides justice related services to victims of relationship abuse, sexual assault, child abuse (sexual & physical) and child witnesses. Also for Elder abuse, Criminal Harassment within context of a relationship, this may include recent or past abuse. Services included are information, support, court referrals and court assistance related to the criminal justice system. Male or female—adult, youth or child are welcome.
