Ann Davis Transition Society needs a new worker for the Supervised Visits Program:
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
In-depth understanding and experience working front line based on child protection principals and a deep understanding of family violence and its impact on family members and family dynamics.
In-depth understanding of why parents are required to have supervised visits with their children and the emotional issues that arise for parents requiring such supervision.
Experience:
Minimum 2 – 3 years working directly with adults & families who have experienced childhood trauma including child protection concerns and /or family violence.
Requirements:
Experience identifying behaviours that put children at risk.
Experience using assertiveness skills to maintain respectful professional relationships.
In-depth understanding and experience with confidentiality.
Experience writing professional, objective reports.
Sensitivity to social cues with a high level of personal awareness and regular involvement in conscientious self-care activities;
This is a part time position requiring regular Evening and Weekend work.
