YMCA Youth Works is starting again this December 4th! YMCA Youth Works is a FREE holistic employment and life skills program that provides youth aged 15-29 choice of certifications such as First Aid, WHMIS, Super Host, Forklift and more as well as long term employment support. The program is 17 weeks long: 5 weeks of workshops followed by 12 weeks of work placement. We offer 4 intakes per year – one per season. Our fall intake will start December 4th, and space permitting, we can continue to accept applicants into January.
Eligibility Criteria:
- aged 15-29
- un or underemployed (working less than 20hrs per week)
- not attending full-time school
- has not received EI (Employment Insurance) benefits in last 3 years
