Big Brothers and Big Sisters is working with agencies to support young parents with community based mentors. They have recent research conducted by the Center for Mental Health and Addiction which reports that children that have a Big are 2x more likely to feel attached to their school, 2x more likely to achieve academically and 2.5x more likely to participate in extra-curricular activities.
