Cyrus Centre is hosting a fun event to raise funds and awareness about youth homeless in Chilliwack. This is a 2km/5km or 10km walk on Saturday, February 20th. This a national campaign with locations in over 90 cities walking in unity to help eradicate homelessness in Canada. Participants walk in teams with all walkers either raising $125 in donations or paying a $25 registration fee. All donations will receive a charitable tax receipts. The event is specifically chosen to be in the cold month of February because we hope for participants to get a small glimpse into the challenges of being a homeless youth. Hot food will be served after the walk to help walkers to warm-up. This is a great opportunity for the community to come together to support those most vulnerable in Chilliwack.
